From hit-and-runs to fade routes and curls, a group of young female athletes is making noise at Ike Arnold Park in Trabuco Canyon.
However, that noise isn’t just confined to the small park off Robinson Park and Lindsay. It can be heard loud and clear at various Irvine city parks on Friday afternoons and evenings.
Looking for a new challenge to offset the monotony of monthslong softball seasons, nine girls joined together to form the first all-girls team in the Matt Leinart Flag Football League’s Irvine division in fall 2014.
